Anren holds what you share so it can remember you and reflect you back. It's stored securely, locked to your account, never sold, and yours to export or delete — just ask.
This is an honest, plain-language summary for Anren's closed US, 18+, invite-only alpha — so this link points at something true, not a "coming soon." The formal Privacy Policy, the Washington consumer-health-data policy, and the Terms of Service are being prepared with a privacy attorney before Anren opens beyond this alpha.
Your data is stored securely, locked to your account, and never sold. To work, your words pass through Anthropic's AI; to improve Anren, we may review conversations. It isn't a vault even we can't open — we have to read your words to do this — but it's handled by as few hands as possible, and only ever to serve you and make Anren better.
Your account email (how you sign in); your conversations (what you write, and Anren's replies); the picture Anren builds of you over time; and basic usage info — that the app was opened, rough activity, error/diagnostic data — not the content of what you wrote.
On Anren's servers (Supabase, in the US), encrypted and locked to your account — so no other user can ever see it.
No other user, ever. Anthropic — whose AI, Claude, Anren runs on — receives your conversation so the AI can respond; under contract they can't sell it, share it, or train on it, and they delete it after a short period. Our team and AI analysis tools may review conversations only to improve Anren (in this early alpha, mostly Faolan, the founder, who treats it as private). That's the whole list.
Never sell your data. Never share it with advertisers or use it to target ads. Never use it for anything except running and improving Anren.

For this alpha, adults in the US. Anren isn't designed for or directed at anyone under 18.
Anren is a tool for reflection and growth — not a therapist, not medical care, not a crisis service, and not a substitute for professional help.
The reflective work stops and Anren turns to care — pointing you to real human help. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), anytime, or 911 if you're in danger. Crisis support is always free.
Anren can't be a vault even Anren can't open — the AI has to read your words to reflect them. We'd rather tell you that plainly than promise more than we can keep.
Your words pass through Anthropic so the AI can respond, and a small number of people may review conversations to make Anren better. So your data is private, protected, and handled by as few hands as possible — held with care, never sold, never used against you.
